Stan stood up and embraced the sobbing youth.
“You don’t wanna die, Kenny. Think of all the good things you’ll miss out on.”
He tried to comfort him.
Kenny sniffed and looked up. “Like what?”
Stan bit his lip. “Well, like me.”
“I know. You’re a great friend, Stan.
You’re even greater for letting me get snot all over your shirt.” Stan chuckled.
“Seriously, Kenny. You don-you can’t die.”
Stan said so vehemently, he even surprised himself.
Kenny raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? Why not? It sure as hell beats what I have right now.”
Stan leaned forward.
“Because of this.” His lips met Kenny’s in a fierce hunger.
Kenny was speechless. The kiss had left him breathless and aching for more.
“I love you, Kenny. Now you know why you can’t kill yourself.”
Kenny felt the waterworks start again, but this time they were of happiness.
